Data Transfer Opt-Out — How to Opt Out

Lost Ark is moving to a new publisher, Smilegate RPG. As part of this change, your game data will be transferred so you can keep playing without interruption. If you do not want your data transferred, you can opt out using the form on this page.

For full details about the transition, see the Transition FAQ. This page covers only the opt-out process.

Before you start

  • You must be signed in with your Amazon Games ID.
  • Your platform account (Steam) must be linked to your Amazon Games ID.

What opting out means

  • Your game data — characters, levels, guilds, inventory, achievements, and progress — will NOT be transferred to Smilegate RPG.
  • If you later choose to play Lost Ark, you will start fresh with a new account. Your previous progress cannot be recovered.
  • Your personal data is protected under Amazon's Privacy Policy. To request deletion or access of data Amazon Games holds, visit your account page. After the game transitions to Smilegate RPG, requests about transferred data are handled by Smilegate RPG.
  • Your Steam account is not affected.

If you do nothing

  • Your data will be transferred automatically. No action is required to keep playing under Smilegate RPG.

Deadline

  • You can opt out until November 10th, 2026. If you miss this window, your data will transfer to Smilegate RPG.
  • Once your data has transferred, you can request deletion directly through Smilegate RPG's data deletion process.
  • You can also separately request deletion of any data Amazon Games still holds through your account page.
  • Smilegate RPG and Amazon Games are separate companies, so each request must be made directly to the company that holds your data.

Changed your mind? (reversal)

  • If you opt out and later decide you want your data included after all, contact Amazon Games Support to request a reversal before November 10th, 2026. After that date, opt-outs are final.

How to opt out

  1. Confirm your platform account is linked to your Amazon Games ID.
  2. Read the acknowledgment below, check the box, and submit the form.
  3. You’ll receive a confirmation with your ticket number.
